Back Pain Treatments and Tips That Work

My name is Jason Dawson and if you have chronic back pain, I'm glad that you've found my blog. After an accident, I suffered with back pain for several years until I started visiting a chiropractor. I could tell a difference in the severity of my back pain after only a few treatments. I continued seeing the chiropractor on a regular basis and today my back pain is gone. When I had excruciating back pain, I couldn't enjoy any physical activities and some days I could barely walk. I'm writing this blog so that I can help others who have back pain. In my blog you'll learn about chiropractors and how they can help you. You'll also learn some things that you can do at home that will lessen the pain in your back.

Office Workers With Migraines Might Be Suffering From Neck Issues

by Nandy Dannenberg

Those who sit in front of a computer all day commonly end up feeling very bored and tired over consistently performing the same routine tasks. The combination of diminished motivation along with the cumulative effects of staring at a screen for hours on end may lead to experiencing migraine headaches. No matter how annoying or troubling these headaches may be, a number of people have no desire to use over-the-counter or prescription drugs for pain management. An alternative does exist for those wishing to alleviate headaches. A session with a chiropractor could reduce migraines and restore a positive attitude towards going to work.

Chiropractic Adjustments for Migraines

Serious studies have been performed about the effectiveness of chiropractic adjustments for the treatment of chronic headaches. In 2014, the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (JMPT) revealed that chiropractic care can be extremely effective in addressing headaches caused by neck-related issues. An office worker who is discovering headaches are causing major problems and cannot "shake them" should become aware of the following:

Troubling Postures

When headaches start to arise, many automatically assume the consistent exposure to a glaring computer screen -- and resultant eye strain --  is what creates the problem. This may be partially true, but how one sits in a chair contributes to issues. Is the person's head always leaning forward? Is the chin slumped down in the chest? Improper positioning could create strain on the neck which, in turn, boosts the potential for a headache.

Lingering Headaches

If eyestrain was the only reason for the headache, then things -- theoretically -- should get better after leaving the office and getting away from the computer. Lingering headaches may be due to neck problems such as a strain. An aggravated neck strain could be causing the headaches to remain since the neck may continue to be aggravated by bad postures sitting, sleeping, or cleaning around the home..

Difficult Exercise Sessions

Hitting the gym or doing something physical after work is a great way to overcome the boredom. Do headaches worsen when being physically active? Perhaps the neck is in such a troubled state physical movements aggravate it and bring on the headaches and, possible, more damage to the ligaments.

Seeing a Chiropractor and General Practitioner

A chiropractic adjustment may do a lot of wonders for neck strain and related headaches. Consider it advisable to see a primary care physician as well to determine if any other medical issues could be contributing to the migraines.
