Back Pain Treatments and Tips That Work

My name is Jason Dawson and if you have chronic back pain, I'm glad that you've found my blog. After an accident, I suffered with back pain for several years until I started visiting a chiropractor. I could tell a difference in the severity of my back pain after only a few treatments. I continued seeing the chiropractor on a regular basis and today my back pain is gone. When I had excruciating back pain, I couldn't enjoy any physical activities and some days I could barely walk. I'm writing this blog so that I can help others who have back pain. In my blog you'll learn about chiropractors and how they can help you. You'll also learn some things that you can do at home that will lessen the pain in your back.

What Are 3 Common Symptoms Of Neck Pain?

by Nandy Dannenberg

Neck pain can be attributed to many causes, including injury on the neck, muscle tension and stress, and strain in the neck region. More often, neck pain concentrates on a particular spot and might disappear on its own after a few days. However, in some rare cases, the pain sticks around and spreads into other parts of your body like the head, shoulder, and arms.

It is the second instance that pushes many affected persons to seek help from chiropractors and seek more information about neck pain and its symptoms. Here are the three most common neck pain symptoms you should know about.

Pain and Stiffness

While this seems as the most common symptom, it presents itself in different ways for every patient. Some may feel the pain in the middle or sides of their neck, extending to the shoulder and upper chest. Others may have the pain rising to the head and causing the hands to fall weak with continual pain.

Besides pain experienced in different parts of the body, you may also find it challenging to move your neck or turn it as far as it should be turning. You should schedule an appointment with your chiropractor so you can have the main problem diagnosed and the correct treatment administered before things get out of hand.

Stubborn Headaches

The neck closely connects to the head with the help of small bones called vertebrae stacked on top of each other in the spinal column to offer support to the head. When the neck is affected and there's pain originating from the neck region, the muscles and nerves connecting the neck to the head get affected.

The pain in these muscles and nerves translates to stubborn headaches that you can only eliminate by treating the pain in the neck. The common headaches that arise from neck pains include cervicogenic headaches and tension headaches.

Feeling Dizzy When Turning Your Head

At one point or the other, you might feel dizzy when you turn your head or look up for a few minutes when you have neck pains. When you look up or turn your head, arteries known as vertebral arteries may pinch each other, leading to a blackout or a feeling of dizziness.

When the arteries pinch or get intertwined, blood flow can be reduced significantly, making you feel dizzy or wanting to blackout. This should not be a frequent occurrence. So, if you notice frequent blackouts, consult your doctor immediately.
